Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how MyLawPoint handles cancellations and refunds for consultations booked through our platform. By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.
1. Cancellation by the client
- More than 24 hours before the scheduled time: Full refund, processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
- Between 6 and 24 hours before the scheduled time: 50% refund. The remaining 50% covers the lawyer's reserved time slot.
- Less than 6 hours before the scheduled time: No refund, as the lawyer has reserved the slot exclusively for you.
- No-show: No refund.
2. Cancellation by the lawyer
If a lawyer cancels for any reason, you receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule with the same lawyer (or a similar lawyer at our suggestion) at no additional cost.
3. Service issues during consultation
If a consultation cannot be completed due to a verified technical failure on our platform, network issues attributable to the lawyer, or the lawyer not joining the call, you are eligible for a full refund or a free reschedule. Please raise the issue within 24 hours of the scheduled time via mylawpointmk@gmail.com.
4. How to request a refund
Initiate cancellations directly from your dashboard under "My Consultations". For refund disputes or service-quality concerns, write to our Grievance Officer at mylawpointmk@gmail.com with your booking reference, the issue, and any supporting evidence. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days as required under the Information Technology Rules, 2021.
5. Processing time
Approved refunds are credited via the original payment method (UPI, card, or wallet) within 5–7 business days. Bank or wallet processing times may add 1–3 additional days at the issuer's discretion.
6. Non-refundable services
- Document drafts already delivered to the client.
- AI-generated legal information (free tier) — no payment, no refund.
- Services completed in full where the client has accepted deliverables.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Material changes will be communicated through email or in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect.
